Every year, GIID works with a small number of emerging districts. We help them determine if their existing geographies possess the necessary assets to evolve into an innovation ecosystem that thrives in a global competitive landscape.
Through a quantitative and qualitative process, GIID:
- Undertakes deep R&D analysis to understand your unique specializations and strong areas of commercialization
- Analyzes your existing geography to determine highly-magnetic R&D assets and place-based strengths to formulate the strongest avenue for achieving “the place and innovation nexus”
- Actively works with local stakeholders to design a bespoke governance structure, including new ways to generate independent revenue streams
- Uses tactical urbanism and placemaking techniques to build trust with the community and create quality places where people want to live, work, play and learn
- Works on all of these aspects together to create a framework for growth that applies to your unique geography

Comprehensive analysis
We perform a 360º quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify whether an anchor or landowner possesses the necessary strengths and starting assets to create an innovation district. We provide a highly bespoke support plan based on very specific needs.
