Birmingham Innovation Precinct

Adjacent to Aston University, in a super-diverse and youthful city, co-located with industry and on the doorstep of HS2, the Birmingham Innovation Precinct (BIP) is a dynamic hub of knowledge, research and enterprise. The co-location of industry, business, entrepreneurs and start-ups with the Aston University community leverages decades of research excellence and world-class capabilities to transform high-growth industries such as HealthTech, MedTech and CleanTech. The BIP will be a city-within-a-city, expanding the CBD of Birmingham towards the East of the city. It is located within the Birmingham node of the government-backed West Midlands Investment Zone, enhancing its connectivity to the broader UK innovation ecosystem. Plans include 1.35M square feet of commercial and innovation space, alongside 2,200 homes, 15 hectares of public realm and 500,000 square feet of cultural and community space.
