St. Pete Innovation District

St. Petersburg Innovation District is located in one of the southeast United States' most dynamic waterfront downtowns. It is the professional home to 9,000 employees working to harness innovation and expand future economic opportunities. The District focuses on marine science, life science, data/technology and art, as well as foundational areas of education and entrepreneurship. It brings together stakeholders from private industry, government, academia and nonprofit organizations. Critical relationships are facilitated across these industries and organizations through initiatives including District master plan, regional ocean team, science festival, and innovation ecosystem map. Since the District's inception, jobs have grown 8.5% and STEAM degrees/certificates 48.8%. Today, the District has 215 businesses, US$1.38B in property value, and US$146M in grant funding.
