Cortex activates the intersection of St. Louis' position as a national healthcare hub* and Washington University in St. Louis, ranked #2 in NIH funding with 26 Nobel laureates. Cortex also hosts WashU’s Fort Neuroscience Research Building, the world’s largest neuroscientist hub, where research fuels global health innovations. Beyond science, Cortex is home to nationally recognized NGOs working on criminal justice reform, racial equity, and quality public education.
